Spotlight: NASA Shared Services Center – A Model for Public-Private Partnerships
Setting up a shared services center is no easy task. But when done correctly, it can lower administrative costs and improve customer service. Working closely with the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), CSC helped build the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) on the grounds of the Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, MS.
The team that built the NSSC had to overcome multiple challenges: human elements such as resistance to change and skepticism, a tight budget and even a natural disaster — Hurricane Katrina.
