On April 16, 2009, we celebrated our rich history, with a keen eye to the future. To mark our 50-year milestone, CEO Mike Laphen, joined by nine employee representatives, rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Many employees also participated in a day-long virtual celebration, hosted in Second Life.
We had a number of 50th-anniversary activities for employees around the world, including:
- Brand Camp (a virtual learning experience and celebration around our new brand launch).
- An online message board.
- A dynamic photo mosaic, where employees uploaded their photo and an inspirational message. As the volume grew, the mosaic morphed and shaped our future.
- An Ideation campaign called "So what's next?" Employees submitted their ideas for new business and technology solutions, as well as ideas for improving our company and providing value to our clients.
- A number of videos, Webcasts and local celebrations hosted by our business unit leaders.
- Blogs and videos featuring our most tenured and our newest employees.
- Toolkits featuring posters, art and other ideas to use at local events.
Many of our clients received personal notes from our CEO and our account teams. We have also produced a special 50th Anniversary edition of our award-winning magazine, CSC World.
