Since our first commercial outsourcing engagement in 1991 — a $3 billion contract from General Dynamics — outsourcing has been an important part of CSC's business. In the decades since that first award — one of the largest in the industry — we  have continued to invest to strengthen our position as a Tier One provider to a wide array of industries.

Over the years, commercial outsourcing has matured, resulting in many more organizations now considering it as part of their business strategies. These second generation clients are often seeking to outsource just parts of their IT environment. CSC has built a dedicated sales force to address needs of the large and growing mid-size market and we are investing in dedicated, rapid deployment services for these engagements.
