Filmed in 2005 during Iraq war operations, Carrier will give audiences an intimate view of life onboard a nuclear aircraft carrier. Nearly 2,000 hours of high-definition video were captured aboard the ship during a six-month deployment to the Persian Gulf.

The USS Nimitz is the largest ship in its class of super carriers, and is home to more than 5,000 sailors and marines.

Carrier will explore the lives of these men and women from the strike group admiral, to fighter pilots, to new sailors as they navigate personal conflicts around their jobs, families, patriotism and war.

Carrier premieres Sunday, April 27 - Thursday, May 1, 9:00-11:00 p.m. Eastern Time on PBS.
