In a move to strengthen its global healthcare services business, CSC has completed its previously announced acquisition of First Consulting Group (FCG). (See press release for details.)
The merger of CSC and FCG is a milestone event for both companies. The approximately 2,500 FCG employees represent a deep pool of talent and knowledge that will be a key differentiator for CSC as it pursues its goal to expand market share in the healthcare sector. This sector represents a key component of CSC’s strategic growth initiative, Project Accelerate.
Both FCG and CSC have long histories of providing business and technology services to the healthcare industry. The combined companies provide customers with access to a larger set of resources and capabilities. Additionally, the companies will be better positioned to deliver value to customers and shareholders, while offering new opportunities to employees.
