Top Research Firm Rates CSC “Leader” for Federal Government Systems Integration
Independent technology and market research company Forrester Research, Cambridge, Mass., recently studied seven services vendors and rated CSC as “a leader" in its evaluation of federal government systems integrators. CSC received the highest overall score and was cited in the report as best-suited for most government integration projects.
Bolstered by major contract wins and industry recognition, CSC is well positioned for continuing success in the U.S. government marketplace, particularly as company strongholds in homeland security, defense and healthcare IT align so strongly with priorities of President George W. Bush’s proposed 2007 budget.
For example, through its contract with the Department of Defense’s Biometrics Fusion Center, CSC is playing a key role in integrating biometric technology into several initiatives such as the Biometric Identification System for Access to control entry to U.S. military facilities in Iraq and the Navy’s Enhanced Maritime Interception operations.
In the healthcare arena, the CSC-led Connecting for Health team is creating a prototype for the Nationwide Health Information Network through a contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This program is demonstrating the feasibility of secure health information exchange among key healthcare institutions, including hospitals, health plans, physician offices, government agencies and others throughout the United States.
CSC’s work for the U.S. Army’s Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) exemplifies the company’s strengths in integrating some of the largest and most complex IT challenges.
