* Team CSC captures two-thirds of the podium in today’s 17-mile individual time trial, which ran outside of San José along the Chesbro and Calero Reservoirs.
*Floyd Landis, the captain of Phonak, finished first to retain his overall lead, 26 seconds faster than David Zabriskie. Bobby Julich finished nine seconds slower than his teammate for third place.
*Today showcased the time trial strength of CSC. Seven of the top 16 riders wore CSC jerseys. At one point CSC held the top four spots with Fabian Cancellara, Stuart O’Grady, Lars Bak and Jens Voigt, with Cancellara holding onto the best time until nearly the end of the race. Cancellara finished sixth in the stage.

*There will be TV coverage tonight on ESPN2 at 10:00 p.m. Pacific time (1 hour).
*Stage 4, the 130.9-mile “Queen Stage,“ is the Tour’s longest stage. Riders will face six hours of consistently hilly and technical terrain passing through Big Sur, past Hearst Castle and inland toward the finish at San Luis Obispo.
