Interconnection Control system - ICS
Interconnection Control System (ICS) is an system for monitoring and controlling of defined interconnection in mass transit operations. It enables consortia of operators to provide seamless service across interconnection points.
Mass Transit Operators (MTO) comprises public and private operations of tram, train and bus services in regional or local areas. ICS aggregates current traffic information from different operators and acts as a neutral platform to provide services such as:
- Data exchange with systems of individual transportation operators
- Connection supervision
- Information on connection options and alternatives to the inbound transportation operator
- Connection options and alternatives for passenger information
