PTS/BULK – Solution for SEPA Payment Transactions
The PTS/BULK-product, an upgrade of the previous PTS/SEPA, is the proven, flexible and low-cost SEPA payment transactions solution from CSC. Financial institutions in seven European countries already run our application. Our customers use PTS/SEPA to meet the requirements of a permanently increasing payment volume. PTS/BULK is a modular payment transaction and clearing system for European bulk payment transactions, available with the options "SEPA" and "domestic clearing" for European countries, consisting of customer bank and clearing bank.
These two modules can be operated independently or in combination, depending on customer requirements. The product is multi-client oriented and offers many customer specific configuration options.
PTS/BULK Customer Bank
The PTS/BULK Customer Bank Module is designed to receive SEPA customer bank formats (pain) as well as domestic formats at the in-house interface and to import clearing bank inputs. In addition to a high degree of automated transaction processing, the module provides dialogues for manual interventions (such as entry, correction, accounting, and returns). Depending on the stored customer terms and conditions, fees and value dates are calculated for bulks, customer accounts are arranged and customer agreements reviewed.
Besides the demands of the domestic clearing, the module supports all mandatory payment processes and functionalities defined in the EPC regulatory framework:

- Debtor bank (Bank des Einreichers Core)
PTS/BULK-Clearing Bank
The PTS/BULK Clearing Bank Module is a high-performance Java application for booking file totals from SEPA credit transfers, direct debits and R messages to loro, nostro or clearing accounts. The module enables an internal clearing for all connected BICs and processes all files fully automatically.
The clearing bank module connects the bank to the following SEPA clearing sys-tems:
- SEPA Clearer – the clearing system of Deutsche Bundesbank with connection to the Pan-European Automated Clearing House (PE-ACH) as indirect participant
- Euro Banking Association STEP2 – currently the only PE-ACH to ex-change SEPA payments between direct participants
The clearing processes of several customer banks can be centrally managed with only one clearing bank module (e.g., clearing processes of several European countries). SEPA transactions are routed by PTS/A&R. Overview of PTS Product Family
