History

CSC Bulgaria was created on December 2, 2008. It was the result of an acquisition of a subcontracting company (OBS) that had been a CSC FS partner since its foundation in 1995.

As a subcontractor, OBS had been supporting CSC FS clients in the European financial services sector.

The fruitful collaboration between the two companies, as well as  mutual trust, allowed our centre to grow, increasing the number of customers each year. We have grown from 8 employees at the Centre’s foundation in 1995 to more than 665 committed professionals now.

Locations

CSC Bulgaria is now an essential near-shore Center for CSC. Our head office is located in Sofia. Since September 2006 we also have a center in Bulgaria's biggest seaside town – Varna.

Main Activity

Software Development is CSC Bulgaria’s main activity. Our strong technical experience and large scope of successfully developed projects are the keys to the quality services we provide to our clients.

Recognition

For two consecutive years, 2006 and 2007, our center was named biggest Software Development Company in Bulgaria.

In May 2010 CSC Bulgaria was honored with the FS EMEA GOLD Presidents Award for exceptional achievement over the last 12 months.

Mission and Strategy

Our strategy is guided by our mission to be excellent on selected topics rather than average at everything in our job. We developed our strategy to find the best way to satisfy our customers’ needs. Our target is to expand our scope of customers throughout new territories in and outside Europe. To be able to manage more and bigger projects, we constantly work to improve our efficiency. We rely on our capacity to attract talented, skilled people to deliver higher added value to our customers.

Our Team

CSC Bulgaria employs 665 people assigned to work in 6 business areas and more than 30 projects.

CSC Bulgaria employees are motivated, committed to deliver and eager to grow in the profession people. Considered an essential strength, our team consists of high level educated people. Software engineers and business-oriented people work together to provide the best they can in the unique direction to respond better and faster to our customers’ requests. Their technical and business skills are combined with good language knowledge. Our team’s commitment has been proven by the impressively low attrition rate – in 2010 we registered only  3.2% and the tendency is this rate to decrease each year.

Our Management

CSC Bulgaria has been managed by the same people for more than   15 years. Thanks to their professional experience, technical and business knowledge and competencies, our management team successfully brings the company from 8 people and one project to the current level.

Certifications

In order to improve our efficiency we are in the process of CMMi level 3 certification.

Since May 2011, CSC Bulgaria is certified ISO27001
