DVC Selected as Recipient of Gazette of Politics and Business First Exceptional 53 Business Award

The Gazette of Politics and Business released its list of the 53 top businesses and organizations in the State of Maryland. The awards program, the first by the P&B Gazette, acknowledges the top 53 businesses and organizations in Maryland based on criteria that included the recipient company’s annual revenue and employee growth as well as noteworthy product or service innovations, community service efforts and how the companies portrayed themselves as good places to work.
The first annual awards ceremony held at the Doubletree Hotel in Bethesda, MD attracted a large crowd of appreciative attendees eager to celebrate the accomplishments of the top 53 companies. Speeches by David Edgerly, Director of Economic Development for the State of Maryland, key sponsor of the program, and Cliff Chiet, Publisher of the Politics and Business Gazette, preceded dinner and networking activities at the Hotel.
“I applaud these exceptional Maryland businesses that are consistently on the leading edge of innovation and doing their part to help through their pro-active community service programs,” said Edgerly. “We owe a lot to them for the job creation they generate which helps keep Maryland at the top of the list of the best places to work in the country.”
DynPort Vaccine Company LLC (DVC), a CSC company, was recognized for its exceptional growth during the last three years as well as company-sponsored community service programs including Operation Christmas Child, year-round food bank donations, educational initiatives and regular blood drives. DVC was also recognized for innovation in managing biopharmaceutical product development programs for U.S. government agencies, including vaccines against biological and chemical warfare threat agents, and providing consulting services to companies in the vaccine industry.
DVC President Dr. Robert V. House was pleased to have been named as number 12 on the list of 53 exceptional Maryland companies at the event. “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of a great company that contributes to the betterment of society both through our mission and our community service,” said House.
