Biodefense vaccine garners Army research and development award

This article by Karen Fleming-Michael of the Fort Detrick Standard congratulates the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) for their award-winning work on Venezuelan equine encephalitis vaccine candidate V3526.

The V3526 vaccine was transitioned to the Department of Defense Joint Vaccine Acquisition Program (JVAP) in 1999. DVC, as the JVAP prime systems contractor, is responsible for advanced development of this vaccine candidate, and continues to work closely with the USAMRIID team that created V3526.
