DVC Wins Summit Award for Technology
FREDERICK, Md. - Today DynPort Vaccine Company LLC (DVC) President Dr. Robert V. House accepted a Summit Award for Technology at the second annual Frederick Chamber of Commerce Summit Awards. Frederick Chamber President & CEO Ric Adams presented the award during the Chamber's Annual Meeting at Dutch's Daughter Restaurant.
DVC was chosen as the 2007 Technology Award winner due to the company's recent growth, its biodefense leadership and its innovative biotechnology systems integrator method of managing product development, which has led to substantial vaccine manufacturing technology and process improvements. DVC has also shared its expertise in the industry by publishing journal articles, presenting at conferences and helping to establish industry standards for efficacy testing of medical countermeasures.
"I am honored to accept this award on behalf of all DVC employees," said Dr. House. "DVC owes its technology advances and process improvements to our hard-working, dedicated team. Without them this award, and the progress we make each day for our clients, would not be possible."
The Summit Awards honor local companies that have developed a business enterprise and achieved a substantial level of success as a result of quality customer service, products or merchandise. The Technology Award is presented each year to a Frederick County business that has contributed, implemented or designed advancements in technology resulting in growth for its firm. Six other companies received Summit Awards at the event.
