CSC Recognized by Cisco for Certified Compliance With Cisco Standards for Unified Computing Managed Services and Cloud
Nyhedsartikel -- November 16, 2011
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Nov. 16 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has achieved Data Center Unified Computing Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) status, Master Managed Services Certification and Cloud Provider Certification from Cisco. These certifications are core to CSC’s strategy to provide effective and cost-efficient platforms that enable clients to embrace as-a-service agility.
CSC has achieved Data Center Unified Computing ATP status from Cisco on a global scale. The Data Center Unified Computing ATP designation recognizes CSC as having fulfilled the training and program prerequisites to sell, deploy and support the Cisco Unified Computing System. To qualify as a Cisco Data Center Unified Computing ATP, CSC had to meet a number of requirements. These included achieving the Cisco Data Center Networking Infrastructure Specialization and the Cisco Data Center Storage Networking Specialization as well as demonstrating mature competencies in server, storage and virtualization technologies.
The Master Managed Services Certification recognizes CSC’s investment in the ITIL® processes, practices and tools necessary to provide high-quality managed services. As a Cisco Master Managed Services Certified Partner, CSC has demonstrated the ability to deliver sophisticated solutions, met stringent requirements that reflect a depth of capabilities and undergone an independent audit by an objective third-party auditor. CSC was also required to offer at least two managed services using the resources and procedures necessary to deploy, manage and support Cisco solutions.
“The successful achievement of these certifications further represents CSC’s standards-based approach to the market and ability to quickly implement new solutions,” said Nick Wilkinson, president, market and product strategy, CSC Managed Services Sector (MSS). “These audits and certifications provide independent validation of not only CSC’s strategy, but of our legacy of superior service delivery.”
CSC has also become a Cisco Cloud Provider in the Cloud Partner Program. The Cisco Cloud Provider Certification recognizes CSC’s investment in building, owning and operating its data centers to offer cloud services (X-as-a-service) in a multitenant environment to end-customers. Additionally, as a Cisco Powered IaaS designation, CSC’s cloud offering is deployed using a Cisco-validated infrastructure. CSC BizCloud, the industry’s only private cloud billed as a service, uses the same infrastructure that is fully integrated into the VCE Vblock™ and enables portability across all the CSC cloud models.
CSC has been a strategic business partner of Cisco for more than 10 years. For more information on CSC’s managed services portfolio offerings, including CSC’s Cisco-based solutions, visit http://www.csc.com/global_alliances/alliances/33702-cisco_systems.
