CSC Positioned in ‘Leaders’ Quadrant of Leading Industry Analyst Firm's Oracle Outsourcing Report
Nyhedsartikel -- December 08, 2009
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Dec. 8 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has been positioned in the "leaders" quadrant of the Gartner 2009 report, Magic Quadrant for Oracle Outsourcing, North America.1 The report analyzes 15 of the leading providers of Oracle application outsourcing services.
According to Gartner, "Although areas such as software as a service (SaaS) and cloud computing are still relatively peripheral to buyers and sellers of ERP applications and related professional services, they are becoming more material. Although these areas are still at a relatively early stage and yet to have overly significant impact, they promise a new era of faster deployment and lower-cost management of applications and, thus, are gaining more attention in the overall outsourcing debate."
The report was authored by Ben Pring, and covers providers of Oracle application outsourcing services in North America. "Oracle applications continue to be a strategic and critical component of our enterprise applications portfolio of services," said Rick Wilcox, vice president and global applications portfolio executive for CSC's Managed Services Sector (MSS). "I believe our positioning in the Leaders Quadrant is indicative of our commitment to provide innovative services to our Oracle customers. We intend to strengthen our position in the market by bringing new levels of industrialization, industry specialization and On-Demand services to our customers."
