CSC WINS 2009 ‘BEST AWARD’ FROM THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR TRAINING
Nyhedsartikel -- Oktober 14, 2009
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Oct. 14 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has won a 2009 "BEST Award" from the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) for its global learning and employee talent development programs.
The ASTD BEST Awards recognize organizations that achieve enterprise-wide success through employee learning and development. CSC's Enterprise Learning and Talent Development (ELTD) group was recognized, for a fourth year, for creating innovative learning programs that made an impact to organizational culture, brand and leadership.
This year's 39 award winners are recognized in a special section of the October issue of Training + Development (T+D), ASTD's monthly magazine, and were honored earlier this month at a reception in Washington, D.C.
"The ASTD BEST Award winners set the standard of excellence for exceptional learning practices, and demonstrate that a skilled workforce is vital to achieving results," said Tony Bingham, ASTD's president and CEO. "They use learning as a strategic tool and have the support of senior leaders who champion a learning culture."
"We are very pleased to be recognized by the ASTD for our learning and talent solutions," said Holly Huntley, CSC's global chief learning officer. "At CSC we take advantage of enabling technologies and strategic partnerships that enable us to have a collaborative culture where employees have many options to develop."
BEST Award recipients submitted quantitative and qualitative information to ASTD about their learning and development practices and programs. Their applications were assessed by members of the BEST Awards advisory committee, a group of experts in the learning and development field. More information about the 2009 ASTD BEST Award winners may be found in the October 2009 issue of T+D magazine and online at www.astd.org/best.
