CSC JOINS PROJECT MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE GLOBAL CORPORATE COUNCIL

FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 1 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has joined the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Corporate Council. PMI is the world's leading not-for-profit association for the project management profession.
As a member of the Council, CSC will demonstrate its commitment to the advancement of project management knowledge, standards and practices by meeting with other council members regularly to identify trends and strategic opportunities, provide guidance and share best practices. The company is represented by Chris Colen, vice president of Program Management and Solution Architecture for CSC's Global Business Solutions.
Companies invited to join the Council must employ organizational project management practices while effectively demonstrating compliance with PMI criteria, including: project selection is tied to strategic decision making; project management is valued throughout the organization; the company has a project management office or equivalent department responsible for the centralized training, support and career life cycle of project managers; PMI standards are utilized in the organization and staff members hold PMI certifications; project managers are provided with an internal training program and other educational resources.
