WALTER HOWELL NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF CSC’S AMERICAS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 4 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that Walter Howell has been appointed senior vice president of CSC's Americas Business Development (ABD), the organization responsible for U.S. sales and marketing of the company's commercial outsourcing offerings. Howell reports to David Booth, president of CSC's Global Sales and Marketing.
"We are excited to add Walter to our sales leadership team," said Booth. "His experience and knowledge will be instrumental in helping us achieve our long-term growth objectives and improve our ability to build strong client relationships, drive cross-industry solutions and present 'One CSC' to the marketplace."
Howell joins CSC from CA Inc. (formerly Computer Associates), where he was senior vice president of Global Service Providers, responsible for strategy, relationship management and joint solution development. Previously, Howell served for two years as executive vice president of the commercial sector for American Management Systems, and prior to that he spent nine years at IBM Global Services, most recently as vice president of Americas Financial Services. He has also held senior management positions at The Riggs National Bank of Washington, D.C.
Howell has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Troy University in Alabama, and a master's degree in business administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. He also serves on the board of directors of Global Axcess Corporation.
