CSC uses and continuously improves its global quality and security processes, ensuring consistency of approach and the deployment of a standard global process set to all our clients. This means that clients will always get the benefit of processes developed to the latest standards and encompassing best practices.
ISO 9001 deployment of global processes
CSC holds ISO 9001, a Quality Management Standard certification, for its deployment of global processes. The approval is reconfirmed every 6 months.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
CSC holds a global level ISO 14001 certificate. Under this global certificate CSC Nordics has the following ISO 14001 accredited locations:
- CSC in Denmark: 2 data centers and 2 office buildings
- CSC in Sweden: 2 data centers and 4 office buildings
The ISO 14001 accreditation was achieved in 2009 for the Danish Headquarters building and the 2 data centers in Copenhagen. The Swedish locations were added to the accreditation in 2013 and the Aarhus location in Denmark in January 2014. This coverage ensures that all significant and relevant service delivery areas are managed under the accreditation.
ISO 20000 Service Management
CSC has achieved the ISO 20000 standard which is aligned to the ITIL model for service management in Denmark, Norway and Sweden as well as numerous European and US locations. This demonstrates a significant milestone in the ongoing achievement of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
CSC was one of the first companies to achieve this standard and still holds one of the largest approvals globally.
ISO 27001 Information Security Management
CSC holds a formal Certification to ISO27001 covering the management of information security related to the provision of technology-enabled business solutions and services. Several countries have attained ISO27001 certification as part of our global ISM approach, including Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI)
In addition, many locations in CSC have achieved different Levels of the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) including a CMMI Level 5 in the USA. CSC's Application Services group and its outsourcing operations in Indore, India and Noida, India is also Level 5 having passed in May 2013. In June 2014, CSC’s Global software development teams renewed their SEI CMMI level 3 rating, assessed by a third party assessor from P3I Inc.
The CMMI Model focuses on improving several key process areas. These include; Project planning and control, Risk Management, Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Technical Solution, Testing (Validation and Verification), etc.
