CSC's Jens Voigt fought hard and delivered a dramatic solo victory in Stage 18 of the 2008 Giro.

Team CSC competed in the 2008 Giro d'Italia, May 10 through June 1. This is the first of the three grand tours of the cycling season. CSC's nine-man squad hoped to grab the maglia rosa, or pink jersey, at the race-opening team time trial in Palerma, but settled for second place. The race continued on for three weeks, with grueling mountain stages, before the finale in Milan on June 1.

CSC's Jens Voigt won a stage of the race, and finished 10th overall. Gustav Larsson secured 14th place, Chris-Anker Sørensen ended up 28th overall and Nicki Sørensen 34th overall.
