All proceeds from the Ebay auction will benefit Velokhaya, the fundraising and awareness initiative of South Africa’s Life Cycling Academy, which aims to make cycling more accessible to young children living in South Africa’s poorest communities. Velokhaya will use the proceeds to start building the Velokhaya Cycling Centre, a high-performance training center for top black cyclists. Team CSC-Saxo Bank, Cervélo and CSC are the international founding partners of Velokhaya.

About Velokhaya and the Life Cycling Academy
Velokhaya is the campaign for awareness and fundraising of the Life Cycling Academy (LCA) (www.lifeacademy.co.za), South Africa’s leading cycling transformation organization. The LCA has pioneered the development of cycling as a recreational and competitive sport in previously disadvantaged communities, and focuses on creating opportunities that will help its members grow as athletes and individuals. The organization currently has more than 500 registered members and approximately one bike for every five members. All funds raised by Velokhaya will be used to begin building the Velokhaya Cycling Centre.
