CSC’s Proven Common Criteria Experience


United States Common Criteria Evaluation Laboratory
The U.S. Common Criteria Evaluation Laboratory has been accredited under NVLAP since its inception in 2000 and has worked with the U.S. Government’s Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS) and as part of the National Security Agency’s Trust Technology Assessment Program (TTAP). According to the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP), our highly experienced staff of Common Criteria trained information security engineers and computer scientists have, successfully completed thirty-five evaluations under the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme. Common Criteria Evaluations are becoming a standard requirement for government information technology system acquisitions. The National Information Assurance Acquisition Policy NSTISSP No. 11 mandates a Common Criteria Evaluation for all Information Assurance (IA) and IA enabled products by July 2002. National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) PUB 800-23 echoes NSTISSP No. 11 by urging government agencies to follow the Department of Defense (DOD) lead in requiring products to undergo Common Criteria (CC) evaluations prior to acquisition.

CSC Australia Australasian Information Security Evaluation Facility
Since 1995, CSC has been one of only three companies in Australia fully licensed by the Federal Government to run an Australasian Information Security Evaluation Facility (AISEF) which conducts formal security evaluations of IT products such as biometrics, firewalls and operating systems. The CSC AISEF Team has provided consulting service internally and to customers pursing evaluations under NIAP.

German Common Criteria Evaluation Laboratory
With the Center of Excellence (CoE) IT Security and Technology in Munich/Germany CSC’s team underlines the importance of IT security for our customers in the European region. The CoE is CSC’s European focal point regarding IT security, from which we offer all-embracing IT security consulting services.
