The CSC Australasian Information Security Evaluation Facility (AISEF) was established in 1995 and is one of only three licensed facilities established under the Australasian Information Security Evaluation Programme (AISEP). The AISEF is a unit within CSC’s Global Security Solutions and specializes in the evaluation of secure products and systems. The AISEF unit has unique skills in the application of formal methods and other innovative techniques applicable to the design and verification of high assurance software components. CSC emphasizes a practical and flexible approach to the work by co-operating with the software developer to identify and resolve risks, hazards and design flaws as early as possible in the development process.

As part of CSC’s National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accreditation # 13259 the AISEF is required to meet the highest standards of impartiality, objectivity, independence, and security, in addition to gaining NATA, ISO 17025 and ISO9001 accreditation. All evaluation results are subject to technical review and concurrence from the Australasian Certification Authority (ACA). Products that are evaluated under the Programme gain Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) certification and are listed in the Government’s Evaluated Products List (EPL). Products on the EPL are widely used within the Government and Commercial sectors.
