Next-Generation Threat Protection
Today’s organizations continue to adopt new technologies to better secure their enterprises and assets. These technologies include next-generation firewalls, which provide an enhanced level of threat protection, enabling organizations to ensure their legacy firewalls meet modern standards and address modern threats.
Our Next-Generation Threat Protection Services protect sensitive information that passes through your networks using policy management to control applications, threats and users. These services enable provision, policy management and reporting for an organization’s entire firewall environment.
We deliver our capabilities through our global network of Risk Management Centers via a “pay-as-you-grow” model that offers unparalleled flexibility. With physical or virtual platform options designed for the evolving technology and threat landscape, clients choose the solution they need to meet both their budget and security control requirements.
Firewall Platform Management — Using security gateway management systems, CSC can provide security to any network segment an organization requests. This includes segments in CSC and client-dedicated networks that connect to the Internet via Internet Points of Presence (IPOP) locations, enclaves, demilitarized zones, and quarantined or secured zones, and in managed and unmanaged connections to external partners.
Firewall Policy Management — CSC assesses and designs environments to provide rule and policy firewall management. We consider a client’s IT security when building their firewall policies to ensure that they align with their requirements and provide consistent service.
URL/Web Filtering — We provide URL/Web filtering, which enables clients to monitor and control Web traffic. The service optimizes Web security access to and from known malicious websites, as well as prevents threats that use external proxies to bypass security controls.
Application Control — Through this service, we identify and control known applications running over a network and through network security gateways and entry points. Specific application and user policies can be developed to detect, control or block application use that is deemed unproductive or high risk, such as Internet social networking or peer-to-peer applications.
Threat Management Services — Clients can add additional threat management services as needed to help detect and prevent threats when they are required. This includes intrusion prevention services to control or block malicious or high-risk network traffic, and anti-bot, anti-malware and anti-virus services to help protect clients against known threats.
Advanced Threat Protection — To further protect our clients, we provide threat extraction services, reconstruct files to eliminate potential threats and promptly deliver sanitized content to users to maintain business flow. We also deliver threat emulation services to help prevent new malware and targeted attacks through an innovative zero-day threat sandboxing capability.
Real-time Monitoring and Alerting (SIEM) — Besides providing standard NGTP platform monitoring, we can also monitor, correlate and alert clients to threats to their networks or data in real time. This security information and event management (SIEM) service proactively monitors security and compliance events around the clock.
