Framework and Strategy
We define our CR approach around five areas of focus, which provides consistency to our sustainability work around the world. These areas include Clients, Employees, Community, Environment, Governance.
The Corporate Responsibility team establishes an annual strategic plan for the program which is presented to the CR Steering Committee ahead of the new Fiscal Year. We engage our stakeholders to create the plan which serves to drive priorities in our five focus areas.
Our Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee is composed of senior executives from functional areas across the business and meets quarterly to lead our CR program. The Committee defines the Strategy and Management Policy on corporate responsibility. Senior Regional Executives drive global priorities regionally, and provide important feedback on cultural differences and ways to implement our CR strategy locally for maximum employee, stakeholder and business benefit. Our stakeholders include shareholders/investors, clients, employees, suppliers and partners, media, government and regulators, peers, communities, investment analysts, NGOs and other organizations. Executives and key subject matter experts meet with stakeholders regularly to discuss business trends and solicit feedback on the Company and our industry. In addition we perform an annual survey of employees to guide business improvements.
We focus our CR activities on areas of greatest concern to CSC and our stakeholders. We evaluate these through a CR risk and opportunities matrix to assess the impact and likelihood of a risk or opportunity being realized.
