We treat our employees well, respect their rights and provide a safe workplace that minimises the risk of accidents. We value diversity and provide an environment that encourages the sharing of ideas and perspectives and promotes the highest standards of ethical and business conduct. The CSC Code of Ethics and Standard of Conduct (PDF) are well established throughout the organisation, and are reinforced by the annual Ethics Awareness briefing, which is a required course of all employees. We continue to recognise, encourage and inspire diversity of experience, interest and personal development.
We recognise that CSC’s accomplishments are the work of the people who comprise CSC. We encourage initiative, recognise individual contribution, treat each person with respect and fairness and afford ample opportunity for professional growth. In turn, we require of our people high standards of professionalism and technical competence.
We value and encourage openness and honesty in our employees, at every level in the organisation. We promote regular, meaningful employee communication and actively seek employees’ views and suggestions.
Health and Safety
We recognise the importance of providing a safe working environment for all our staff and others who may be affected by our activities. We have a pro-active Safety Management Programme (PDF), supported by all levels of management, safety officers, safety champions and the Group H&S Team. All of our activities have been assessed to identify significant hazards, which are then controlled and managed. Our Safety Programme has been externally verified and approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance to the OHSAS 18001 specification. Our aim is to reduce accidents to zero. Read our Health, Safety & Environment Management manual (PDF).

OHSAS18001 Certification
CSC’s UK Occupational Health & Safety Management System has been approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance to the OHSAS 18001 specification (see certificate PDF). The specification was released by the British Standards Institute in 1999, in response to strong worldwide demand for a generalised, comprehensive outline for managing occupational health & safety issues. Its aim is to promote safe work practices and employee well-being.
What does OHSAS 18001 mean to us?
It shows employees, customers, prospects, suppliers and shareholders that we ensure the proper and effective management of worker health & safety. It demonstrates to regulatory bodies that we are serious in our commitment to health & safety issues.
