Clients
CSC is committed to play an active role in organisations and initiatives not only in our own industry, but our clients' industries too. CSC is an active member of government, business and trade organisations to network, encourage, educate and support debate about the current and future performance of UK business working environments and environmental quality.
Several of our business initiatives are driving the corporate responsibility agenda; we have already committed ourselves to both achieving and sustaining our green agenda and are notably involved in:
- Leading Edge Forum: where we help business and IT leaders from around the globe identify and develop greener business ideas and ways of doing business
- Green Computing Summit: we are a founder sponsor of this forum which assembles experts from industry and government to address issues, policies, programs and enabling technologies that are driving the move toward greener computing alternatives
- CBI: our board members play key roles in helping to shape the work of the CBI regions
- Intellect: our membership at intellect enables us to take part in extensive training and development opportunities that improve the environment we do business in, accelerating business growth and prosperity and raising the profile and awareness of our industry.
Green IT
More environmentally-friendly technology and business strategies are a must in today's business environment. The high cost of energy, the threat of global warming, and rising societal awareness will eventually force just about every company to take a hard look at its overall consumption, emissions and compliance practices. Forward-thinking companies are already preparing themselves for the many pressures and opportunities ahead.

Managing our Supply Chain
We procure in a responsible way and aim to deliver high standards of sustainable ethical and environmental good practice working with our suppliers, clients and contractors.
Where appropriate, we look to develop strategic, sustainable and collaborative relationships with our key suppliers. Working with our stakeholders in the business, we have a systemized supplier review process, enabling us to identify new opportunities, efficiencies, improvements and potential revenue streams.
We have a programme of ongoing training which includes the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) corporate award and membership of the Centre for Procurement Leadership (CPL) which provides a high standard of professional qualification along with sharing best practice and benchmarking.
Our supplier selection process includes a thorough review around Corporate Responsibility and Health and Safety through use of a questionnaire. The responses are reviewed and form part of the basis of any supplier selection and subsequent contract award.
