CSC Vietnam Engagement
Bringing Gifts and Smiles for Children
On December 12, 2014, a delegation of volunteers from CSC Vietnam visited the Hoa Hong Center caring for about 80 disadvantaged children, in particular orphaned and abandoned children.
The volunteers distributed more than 80 gifts to the children at the center. In addition, food and necessary supplies were donated to the center. A cash amount was also presented to Soeur My, the head of the center, to cover other necessary expenses. CSC employees played and sang with the children, who responded with joy to the love and attention showered on them.
CSC Vietnam also received two prestigious HR awards for Human Resource Management at the award ceremony of the Vietnam HR Award 2014, held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 10. Thirteen companies were honored during this ceremony, which was co-organized by Talentnet and the Labor & Social Affairs newspaper and endorsed by Vietnam’s Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA). CSC Vietnam won in two out of the five award categories — Performance Management and HR Transformation.
Running to Help the Needy
A large number of CSC Vietnam employees participated in the 14th Annual Fun Run organized by the British Business Group Vietnam (BBGV) on September 28, 2014. The goal of the Fun Run was to raise funds for needy people in Vietnam. The run has supported specific charities such as the Christina Noble Children's Foundation and the Saigon Children's Charity, both of which have received continuous support over many years. Other charities have received specific donations to fund certain projects all over Vietnam.
