Cloud computing aces the test at ETS
CSC’s cloud computing solution recently figured prominently at Educational Testing Service, or ETS. As part of our video success story series, ETS shares some great details about what the cloud is doing for the organization.
ETS’s activity is the definition of bursty. The organization develops and administers widely used standardized tests – and when those tests are given, ETS suddenly needs a lot of computing power all at once.
With cloud computing, ETS is able to access large amounts of computing power when it needs to – and it doesn’t have to worry about resources lying idle during other times.
You can get insight into ETS’s approach like never before. In three videos, ETS provides their perspective, with ETS CIO and Vice President Dan Wakeman and Principal Enterprise Architect Bob Foy weighing in; CSC’s Tom Heller and George Weber provide their insight; and CSC partner Cisco gives a third view. Or, if you prefer, you can read it all in this PDF.
