CSC SIGNS $67 MILLION IT SERVICES CONTRACT RENEWAL WITH SEMPRA ENERGY
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 29 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has signed a contract extending its information technology (IT) services agreement with Sempra Energy (NYSE: SRE). The new contract, which has a three-year base period and three one-year options, is valued at $67 million if all options are exercised.
Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will continue to provide desktop support and help desk services to 160 Sempra Energy locations throughout the U.S. Most are located in Southern California.
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Sempra Energy,” said Nick Wilkinson, vice president of Chemical, Energy and Natural Resources within CSC’s Technology Management Group. “This extension demonstrates the quality of work CSC is delivering and our ability to produce results that support key business objectives.”
CSC’s relationship with Sempra Energy dates back to 1995.
