Summary:

The U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005 (HR6) has identified an enhanced focus on energy efficiency as part of the regulation. All utilities must offer all customers a time-based rate option, and provide the metering to support the time-based rate if the utility experiences generation or energy procurement costs that vary by time-of-day. CSC has been monitoring these issues and has developed a comprehensive approach in response to the needs for an Advanced Metering Infrastructure.
