Total Life-Cycle Asset Management Course
As more companies win contracts for the long term support of complex assets, especially of military weapon systems, CSC has recognized the need for training for the managers and employees who will implement these contracts. Also, companies have identified the need to improve their existing life cycle materiel management practices in areas such as supply chain management, predictive maintenance and configuration management. |
Consequently, CSC has developed a Total Life-Cyle Asset Management (TLAM) course, and over the past three years has presented it on-site to several individual companies. CSC’s approach has been to prepare for each presentation by tailoring the TLAM course to the specific needs of each company or agency. However, the next presentation will be open to anyone needing the training. It will be held in Ottawa, Ontario 6-8 November 2012.
This is a three-day course that complements CSC training in Systems Engineering (SE) and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS). While the SE and ILS courses focus mostly on the Acquisition phase of the life cycle, the LCMM course concentrates mostly (but not entirely) on the In-service (or Sustainment) phase.
The training is particularly relevant to Canadian In-Service Support Contracts (ISSC) and American Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contracts.
