SRM Barometer 2011: A Time of Opportunities

Procurement and logistics managers tell all in CSC’s third annual SRM Barometer, a report on the trends and outlooks of procurement departments throughout the US and Europe. As supply chains get longer and more fragile, the report looks at how procurement departments are adapting to increased risks.
The report includes testimonials from the procurement managers of GDF Suez, Aperam, Telecom Italia and other major corporations. For example, Guido Amendola from Postemobile talks about the evolution of the procurement function which is “no longer just a cost center but rather an organization capable of making a major contribution to value creation”.
