Author:
CSC, Liaisons Sociales magazine and TNS Sofres

The HR Barometer is being conducted for the 8th year by CSC, in partnership with Liaisons Sociales magazine and TNS Sofres. It is based on a quantitative analysis of the trends and outlook for Human Resources directors, using a representative sample of major European companies.
The 2010 HR Barometer shows that the HR function is torn between financial, legal and human constraints.
New rules, new types of behaviour – for consumers and employees alike – and new technologies are proliferating in all economic sectors. The major management principles in operation since the early 20th century are being called into question. The challenge for the next few years is to let new business models develop by integrating environmental, economic and social issues.
The 2010 HR Barometer highlights four key areas of focus: Cost reduction, Preparing for the end of the crisis, Employee Engagement and Performance of the HR function.
