News Release -- August 05, 2010
First UK implementation is to CSC’s 7000+ employees
ALDERSHOT, UK, 5 August 2010 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today the delivery of the first corporate wealth platform to Scottish Widows, which will offer the innovative Web-based platform to organisations seeking financial planning tools to benefit their employees. The first deployment of the new platform is for CSC’s 7000+ UK employees.
Called mymoneyworks, the Web platform provides users with financial education, guidance and interactive tools to help them identify their financial planning needs. The service also offers a broader range of savings products, consolidated in one place. In addition, Scottish Widows provide access to a specialist telephony contact centre for more detailed guidance and where relevant, access to regulated advice.
CSC saw the potential for a customer-focused corporate wealth platform and was keen to leverage their IT capabilities and extensive experience to bring such a platform to market. They approached Scottish Widows to provide the product expertise and in-depth understanding of the workplace in terms of financial planning. The result is the first implementation and launch of mymoneyworks to CSC’s UK employees.
“When CSC shared with us their interest in the corporate wealth market, it was clear that we had a strong strategic alignment that could form the basis of a powerful partnership,” said John Taylor, market director, Corporate Pensions for Scottish Widows. “We’re now looking forward to expanding the footprint of this differentiated offering in the UK market with other corporations, with CSC as our technology partner.”
“We are delighted to have collaborated with Scottish Widows, the UK’s most established pensions provider, in developing mymoneyworks and deploying it to our employees in the UK,” said Steve Mitchener, president, CSC Financial Services Group for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “mymoneyworks demonstrates the value CSC can bring to the UK’s burgeoning wealth management market, and we look forward to consulting with other financial services organisations which aim to compete in this space.”
