Allianz Australia Awards $50 Million Contract to CSC
Computer Sciences Corporation announced today that it has signed a three-year $50 million information technology (IT) services contract with insurance group Allianz Australia.
Under the contract, CSC will provide infrastructure support for Allianz Australia’s midrange systems, mainframes, local area networks and more than 3000 desktops. CSC has worked with Allianz Australia since June 1999.
As one of Australia’s leading insurers in both general insurance and workers’ compensation with 2,900 employees, Allianz Australia chose to retain CSC because it delivered satisfactory levels of service during a period of high growth, said Allianz Australia’s chief information officer John Cullity.
“We have worked very closely with CSC over the past three years as our operations doubled in size,” said Cullity. “During that period, CSC service levels to Allianz Australia have responded well, matching the increased size of our operations and diversity of customers.”
“While Allianz Australia expanded in the last three years, their contract fees essentially stayed the same, meaning they are getting close to 50 per cent more value in real terms,” said Mike Shove, chief executive for CSC’s Australian operations.
“Our experience enables us to deliver results that the customer is happy with during periods of high growth, and we look forward to continuing this service as we go forward.”
