CSC Receives Two Western Australia Police Contract Awards

Sydney, Australia, 5 May, 2009: CSC (CSC:NYSE) today announced two new information technology contract wins with the Western Australia Police. Each has a five-year base period and five one-year options.
Under terms of the first contract, CSC will provide SAP applications support services, including upgrade and maintenance work, for the organization's Resource Management Information System, an enterprise resource planning application that manages critical business operations for the Western Australia Police. The total estimated value of this contract is AUD$15 million.
Under terms of the second agreement, the Western Australia Police Project Services Panel contract, CSC is one of two companies competing to provide infrastructure, applications development, systems integration and consultancy services.
"Being a large organisation both in terms of workforce and geographical responsibility, WA Police requires strong responsive support services in its resource planning and project management," said Tony O'Donoghue, chief information officer, Western Australia Police. "We believe CSC can provide a significant contribution to maintaining flexibility in meeting the needs of the community and enhancing the efficiencies of our policing systems."
Flexible Staffing
CSC will tailor a flexible staffing model specific to the requirements of the Western Australia Police, which covers an area of 2.5 million square kilometres, three regions, 14 districts and 162 police stations. This model scales up and down and uses local police-cleared CSC staff as well as local providers including NGIS, Agile Computing, Trilogy Resources and Dialog.
