Joe Schechter – New BHP Billiton Global Account General Manager

As part of CSC’s transformation and on-going efforts to be more customer-centric, CSC has appointed Joe Schechter as the BHP Billiton Global Account General Manager. He will have responsibility for overall relationship, managing the P/L and executing CSC’s industry strategy in-line with BHP Billiton’s business imperatives providing clear accountability across the business worldwide. Prior to this role, Joe was President, Americas Outsourcing Group where he oversaw the strategic growth and operations of the region for three and half years. Previously, he was the Vice President and Customer Relationship Executive for General Dynamics, one of CSC's oldest and largest outsourcing customers. |

Prior to that Joe was Vice President of the Financial Services Group within CSC's Global Outsourcing Services – Americas Outsourcing division serving clients such as Zurich North America, Farmers Insurance, Dun and Bradstreet, Washington Mutual, Aon Corporation, UBS and Bank of America. In this role, he had overall account management responsibility and was also responsible for outsourcing expansion in the Financial Services Sector. Joe has extensive experience leading major CSC accounts, including General Dynamics, BAE Airbus, JP Morgan Pinnacle Alliance, UTC/Pratt-Whitney, and the original engagement with BHP Billiton in 2000. He has a deep understanding of the outsourcing and applications business. Joe believes firmly in the power of collaboration and the value of networking, sharing knowledge and experience, and collaborative idea generation and development. He joined CSC in 1991 from General Dynamics where he worked in various systems engineering, software engineering, program management and departmental management roles. |
