Corporate Responsibility Programs - Australia/New Zealand
Our CSC Australia team enjoys pursuing community change through physical challenges. In 2015, for the ninth consecutive year, CSC supported staff, their families and invited customers through participation in charity cycling events around Australia. In November 2015, "Captain Kirk" Barrett, a CSC Australia employee led a 70-member Team CSC on the 90-kilometre ride from Sydney Park, St Peters, to Thomas Dalton Park at Fairy Meadow, raising over $20,000 to fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
Each year, we raise money for Cancer Council Australia, through participating in Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, as well as teaming up with a not-for-profit organization to raise money and cook nutritious meals for distribution to 350 charities across Melbourne. This June’s edition, we raised $1,642.10. To date, CSC has raised an impressive $271,239.23 through previous morning tea events. This is CSC Australia's 16th year of involvement in this event.
Here are other key events hosted this year:
- A Pink Ribbon Morning Tea was hosted on October to raise awareness for women's cancer with a total of $650 raised.
- A Movember Morning Tea was held on November to raise awareness of men's cancers and depression with a total of $2,651 raised for the Movember Foundation.
- A Can and Food Drive collection has been organized over the Christmas period to help feed hundreds of disadvantaged children, adults and families through the Exodus Foundation.
