CSC Cloud Index - Australia Findings
Discover the key findings from the 500 companies based in Australia:
- 25% of companies with more than 1,000 employees or more used cloud computing services to accelerate the speed at which things are done
- 82% of companies began to see the benefits of moving to the cloud within six months of adoption
- Mobile Access is the Biggest Reason for Corporate Cloud Adoption – 41% of companies that have adopted cloud around the world did so in order to enable access to information from any device
- 31% of companies with more than 1,000 employees used cloud computing services to be able to access information from any device
- 71% of companies bought subscriptions for cloud services for one year or more
- 42% of companies purchased cloud computing services through a services vendor compared to 22% of companies that built their own cloud
- 73% of companies have hired more experts, created new positions or said that existing IT staff are more productive since moving to the cloud
- 64% of companies say their concerns about data security have not changed since adopting cloud
- 88% of companies saw improvement in their IT departments since adoption of cloud
- 48% of companies saw improvement in data centre efficiency and utilisation
- Little resistance to cloud adoption as 56% of companies say that no one in the company resisted the move to the cloud
