Australia is at a tipping point for healthcare reform. E-health is fundamental to new models of care and a modern and sustainable health system that provides safe, quality and connected patient care across all settings.
Since 2008, Australia has a strategy for e-health. We now need the operating models and economic models that can underpin the new ways of doing things with electronic health records, telemedicine and improved sharing of data across all health professionals.
We are confident it's possible to achieve secure national electronic health records, accessible by clinicians and patients.
