CSC's Virtual Desktop Service replaces a traditional PC on your desk with a keyboard, mouse, flat panel display and "cable box" like appliance. The user works through their display and appliance to use their PC that now resides in a protected and managed data center environment. Support teams provide help desk services, can upgrade software, handle the anti-virus and patching, as well as execute the back-up and restoration of a PC, if needed. This new architecture improves many aspects of personal computing and simplifies the end user's PC experience.
