Australia’s defence capability is responsible for deferring and defeating attack, contributing to regional stability and security, and responding to contingencies in our area and the rest of the world. This range of requirements places high demands on the ADF, which needs the size, capacity and agility to respond to a wide range of tasks as required by the government.

CSC’s depth of knowledge of defence operations and experience in business support, both in Australia and overseas, is complimented by our experience in commercial organisations. We believe there are approaches and technologies already available that will support the ADF and the Department of Defence in meeting both operational and financial objectives, and we can bring them to Defence.

Among other priorities, we know that Defence will be looking to prepare and coordinate operations faster and more efficiently, in terms of both people (capability) and equipment (logistics). We know that other organisations have applied computer systems integration to deliver similar objectives, and we understand what kind of improvements to productivity and survival can be delivered by well-designed, appropriate information technology support.
