CSC Receives an Overall "Positive" Company Rating in Gartner's 2012 Report Titled Vendor Rating: CSC
Gartner Vendor Ratings assess all the different aspects of a technology provider, such as its strategy, organization, products, technology, marketing, financials and support. These ratings are periodically revised to reflect changes in assessment when a significant internal or external event directly affects the provider.
In the report Gartner mentions:
"CSC continues its strong leadership position in both traditional infrastructure outsourcing, such as data center, and emerging service solutions, including IUS. CSC has moved boldly into cloud, cybersecurity, big data and analytics, connectivity, storage and compute, global enterprise, service management and workplace. CSC has made aggressive moves into alternative delivery models such as remotely managed services, virtual desktop services and other as-a-service offerings."
"Gartner considers CSC to be a good source of value-added services for global network and communications initiatives including UCC, visual communications, WAN and remote access."
Gartner's overall analysis is "CSC's turnaround plan is ambitious and has risks. When completed, the turnaround should result in business growth, better and consistent margins, new key customer accounts, and financial successes, including overall cost reduction."
